Michigan has suspended the medical license of a West Bloomfield plastic surgeon, saying he poses an immediate threat to the public.

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs issued a summary suspension of Dr. Ayoub Sayeg's license on Sept. 28, WDIV reported. Sayeg operates the Your New Looks clinic in West Bloomfield.

What the state alleges

According to LARA documents cited by WDIV, the state alleges Sayeg poses an "immediate threat to the public health, safety, or welfare." The complaint cites surgeries performed in 2024 and alleges problems with record-keeping and informed consent.

Illinois suspended Sayeg's license on July 7, and Virginia followed, according to WDIV, which has been investigating the surgeon for months.

A summary suspension takes effect immediately while the case moves through the state's disciplinary process. These are regulatory allegations, not criminal charges.

Sayeg's attorney did not respond to WDIV's request for comment.

For patients

Patients can check any Michigan health professional's license status and disciplinary history through LARA's online license verification at michigan.gov/lara. Complaints can be filed with LARA's Bureau of Professional Licensing.
