West Bloomfield's football team gets one more OAA Red test before turning to its final two games.

The Lakers, 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the OAA Red, host Oxford at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9. Oxford is 5-1 and ranked No. 9 in the Associated Press Division 1 poll. The Wildcats are coming off a 15-14 win over Rochester Adams, decided by a two-point conversion with 2:45 left, according to the Oakland Press.

A tough stretch

West Bloomfield has faced a demanding schedule. The Lakers lost 64-8 to Clarkston, the AP Division 1 No. 5 team, on Oct. 2, and fell 28-20 to Bloomfield Hills on Sept. 25.

Remaining schedule

After Friday, West Bloomfield visits Southfield Arts & Technology on Oct. 16. The Warriors are 1-5 and scored 34 points in a loss at Birmingham Seaholm last week. The Lakers close the regular season at home Oct. 23 against Utica Eisenhower.
