Stoney Creek visits Adams in Rochester rivalry; Falcons host Athens

OAA White champion Stoney Creek visits Rochester Adams on Friday, while Rochester hosts Troy Athens. Here's what's left for all three Rochester Community Schools teams.

Friday brings a city rivalry to Rochester Hills, as OAA White champion Stoney Creek visits Rochester Adams at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.

Stoney Creek: already champions

Stoney Creek, 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the OAA White, clinched the league title outright on Senior Night with a 41-14 win over Rochester on Oct. 2. Brandon Gergics ran for four touchdowns, according to the Oakland Press. The Cougars are No. 7 in the Oakland Press county rankings.

After Friday, Stoney Creek's Week 8 game is to be announced, and the Cougars finish Oct. 23 at Ann Arbor Huron.

Adams: needs to win out

Adams is 3-3 and must win its remaining games to reach six wins. The Highlanders lost 15-14 to Oxford on Oct. 2 on a late two-point conversion after beating Lake Orion 21-17 on Sept. 25. Adams' schedule lists a home finale against Oak Park on Oct. 23.

Rochester: needs to win out

Rochester, also 3-3, hosts Troy Athens on Friday. The Falcons beat Troy 37-3 on Sept. 25 before last week's loss to Stoney Creek. Athens beat Bloomfield Hills 49-7 last week. Rochester finishes Oct. 23 at Monroe.

What's next
