Oak Park's football record doesn't tell the whole story of its season. The Knights are 2-4 overall and 1-3 in the OAA Blue, but three of their four losses have been decided by 1 to 12 points.
The last two were especially close. Birmingham Seaholm beat Oak Park 21-20 on Sept. 25 on Brody Gable's 1-yard touchdown run with 25 seconds left, and Birmingham Groves edged the Knights 20-18 on Oct. 2, according to the Oakland Press.
Friday: at Southfield A&T
Oak Park travels to Southfield Arts & Technology at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9. The Warriors are 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the OAA Blue but scored 34 points in a 49-34 loss at Seaholm last week.
Remaining schedule
Like most Oakland Activities Association teams, Oak Park's Week 8 game on Oct. 16 has not been posted; those games are likely crossover matchups set by final league standings. The Knights close the regular season Oct. 23 at Rochester Adams.
