Holly heads to Flint Kearsley after one-point win over Flushing

The 4-2 Bronchos visit Flint Kearsley on Friday and close the regular season at Yale on Oct. 23.

Holly's football team is 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the Flint Metro League heading into the final three weeks of the regular season.

The Bronchos visit Flint Kearsley on Friday, Oct. 9, the first of two straight road games to finish the regular season.

Fellow Oakland County Flint Metro League school Brandon is 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the league's Stars division after three straight wins.

Recent results

Holly edged Flushing 30-29 on Friday, Oct. 2, according to the Oakland Press scoreboard. That followed a 54-30 loss to Fenton on Sept. 25. The one-point win over Flushing pushed the Bronchos to two games above .500 with three games to play.

What's left

After Kearsley, Holly's Week 8 opponent is to be announced. The Oct. 16 date is blank on MaxPreps for Holly, as it is for Brandon and most OAA schools.

The Bronchos finish the regular season on the road at Yale on Friday, Oct. 23.

Playoff calendar

The MHSAA will reveal playoff pairings on Selection Sunday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m. on the NFHS Network. District games begin Friday, Oct. 30, and the finals are set for Nov. 27–28 at Ford Field.
