Ferndale takes unscored-upon OAA Gold run to Royal Oak on Friday
The 5-1 Eagles, who have clinched at least a share of the OAA Gold, visit third-place Royal Oak on Friday in a game with title implications.

Ferndale's football team is 5-1 overall and unbeaten in OAA Gold play heading into the final three weeks of the regular season, and opponents have yet to score on the Eagles in league games.
Ferndale has outscored OAA Gold opponents 234-0, according to the Oakland Press.
Clinched a share
The Eagles clinched at least a share of the OAA Gold title with a 62-0 win at Pontiac on Friday, Oct. 2.
A week earlier, Ferndale set a program scoring record in a 74-0 homecoming win over Avondale. The Eagles led 46-0 after one quarter, recorded two safeties and returned three punts for touchdowns, by El'Yontae London, Grant Fernandez and Carl Tramble. Quarterback Noah Stallworth threw multiple touchdown passes.
Friday at Royal Oak
Ferndale visits Royal Oak on Friday, Oct. 9, in a game with league title implications. The Ravens are 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the OAA Gold, third in the division, after a 35-23 win over Berkley last week.
What's left
After Royal Oak, Ferndale's Week 8 opponent is to be announced. Most OAA schools show no Week 8 game on MaxPreps, and those matchups are expected to be set by final league standings.
The Eagles close the regular season Friday, Oct. 23, at Birmingham Groves.
