For decades, Ron Ward and his friend Dan LeMay sat in the same booth at L. George's Coney Island in Farmington every Monday, ordered the same food and sang together at the register when they paid, CBS Detroit reported Thursday.
Ward died Sept. 21 at age 88, according to the report. He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
Restaurant manager Amy Garbacz recorded the pair singing each week. After Ward's death, she put the videos together to share with the community, CBS Detroit reported.
LeMay, his singing partner, told the station the two met once a week for 32 years and that their visits to the restaurant were part of that. Garbacz said Ward "lit up everybody's life, not just the people who knew him."
