Police served search warrants in Detroit and Troy on Tuesday, Oct. 20, and made multiple arrests in a case Fox 2 described as the bust of a drug trafficking organization operating out of both cities, Fox 2 Detroit reported Friday.

The six-month investigation was led by the County of Macomb Enforcement Team, known as COMET, according to an MSP Second District post on X cited by Fox 2. The Oakland County Narcotics Enforcement Team, Hamtramck police and MSP's Second District headquarters assisted.

Investigators seized about 2,047 grams of fentanyl, 513 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, 46 grams of prescription pills and more than $4,000 in cash, which police intend to forfeit, according to the report.

State Police did not release the names of the people arrested, what charges they may face, or where in Troy the search took place, according to Fox 2.

The Oakland County Journal will update this story if names or charges are released.
