Clarkston said it wanted to spoil Lake Orion's homecoming. It did.
The Wolves beat the Dragons 56-21 on Friday, Oct. 9, at Lake Orion, building a 43-7 halftime lead and cruising from there, according to MaxPreps.
Where it leaves them
Clarkston is 7-0 and 3-0 in the OAA Red, alone in first place. It is the fifth time this season the Wolves have won by more than 20 points.
Clarkston came into the week having already clinched at least a share of the OAA Red with a 64-8 win over West Bloomfield. With Friday's win, the Wolves keep control of the league race heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.
Lake Orion falls to 3-4. The Dragons opened a brutal closing stretch with the loss and will need to win out to reach six wins.
Individual statistics from Friday's game had not been published as of Saturday.
