Boys soccer districts: Troy and Seaholm set up a District 13 final; Brother Rice wins at Clarkston

Troy and Birmingham Seaholm will play for a Division 1 boys soccer district title Wednesday after both won their semifinals Monday at Troy, according to the MHSAA's tournament brackets.

Troy beat Royal Oak 4-1 and is 14-0-2. Seaholm beat Berkley 3-1 and is 13-2-4. The District 13 final is Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. at Troy.

On Tuesday, Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice won 2-0 at Clarkston in a District 6 semifinal, the MHSAA bracket shows. Brother Rice, now 9-8-3, plays Walled Lake Northern in Thursday's final at Clarkston. Northern beat White Lake Lakeland 2-1.

What's next

District winners move on to regionals. Regional semifinals are Tuesday, Oct. 27, and regional finals are Thursday, Oct. 29, according to the MHSAA brackets. Rochester Hills Stoney Creek hosts a Division 1 regional, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep hosts a Division 3 regional and Waterford Kettering hosts a Division 4 regional. The Finals are Nov. 7 in Grand Ledge.

Volleyball: Milford outlasts Stoney Creek in five

Milford beat Rochester Hills Stoney Creek in five sets Tuesday, 16-25, 25-17, 25-15, 17-25, 16-14, according to the MHSAA's team schedules. Milford is 26-4-2 and Stoney Creek is 19-15.

• Bloomfield Hills swept Detroit Country Day 25-17, 25-21, 25-18. Bloomfield Hills is 28-9 and Country Day is 14-7-1.

On Monday, Midland swept Holly 25-18, 25-11, 25-15.
